THE POWER OF DIGITAL STORYTELLING

The power of stories opens minds and inspires all of us. Every night, I read stories to my children and they always want to read one more. And I usually do.

Recently, I spotted a tweet (from @MMaryMary) about Homepages for Homerooms, which is a program driven by Yahoo. The program aims to fund projects in schools all across the country. Projects are funded based on the number of votes and you cast your vote by selecting Yahoo as your homepage.

For one of the projects, the school wanted to promote digital storytelling in the classroom. As a co-owner of 522 and father, it was cool to see how new technologies were being used to inspire children and spark creativity. I just can’t wait to see what kids are going to create in a few years.
