A few weeks ago, we uploaded the initial video in our “What Inspires Me?” video series (developed by Chris Jurchak, Digital Art Director). Today, we’ve embedded Rob Ruscher’s inspirational video and rationale below. Rob is our Digital Media Strategist at 522. Let us know what you think.
When I had to the chance to shoot my video for the “What Inspires Me” series, I knew I wanted to do something that involved communication. Communication is something that I wrap myself in, both online and offline. I wanted to show that I get inspired in the same way when in work and on my time off. It is hard to explain how this inspires me, but interacting with people is something I love to do. There is a certain feeling I get after meeting someone new and that carries into the rest of the day. It is easy to get so caught up into what you do and ignore what is around you. Although I am guilty of this during the week, I try to slow it all down on my day off.
Some of you may wonder what the point of the pizza is. I’m not sure either other than I love pizza and can’t go a week without it. Plus it helps me slow down, and enjoy what is around me.
The Skype session was an important because it shows how technology can turn an otherwise simple phone call, into something much more personal. It shows that new advances are coming out that make it easier for us to connect with not only new people, but the ones we love.
