Armed Forces Foundation
Background
The Armed Forces Foundation implements several programs designed to provide comfort and solace to members of the military community. One of the major programs the Armed Forces Foundation manages is Operation Caring Classroom. This program is dedicated towards recognizing and supporting children that serve our country within military families. Over 16,000 students participate in activities such as drafting letters of support, capturing patriotic pictures and creating strength chains.
Challenge
The Armed Forces Foundation wanted to provide a video to supplement the existing materials for the Operation Caring Classroom project. The purpose of the video was to feature up to five key individuals leading students through the Pledge of Allegiance. Each major presenter would speak on-camera about the importance of supporting our troops and providing assistance to military families and then conclude with the Pledge of Allegiance. 522 was faced with a short project timeframe and had to constantly manage the schedules of six high-ranking officials during the production.
Solution
522 successfully worked alongside the Armed Forces Foundation to capture five individuals’ commentaries and their delivery of the Pledge of Allegiance. 522 effectively interviewed Sen. John McCain (AZ) and other key officials over a short production timeframe. The final DVDs were distributed to schools around the country during Veteran’s Day week.
